3-1 Professional advice
When the exhaust switch on the control panel of the fume hood does not turn on or the operation lamp does not turn on, two major causes can be considered.
One is an exhaust fan abnormality.
When the fume hood is started up, it is common to have a circuit that checks the operation of the exhaust fan.
It is possible that the exhaust fan is in some kind of trouble and cannot be started, as the switch is only turned on after it is electrically confirmed that the exhaust fan has started.
Another one is electrical-related problems.
It is possible that there is an abnormality in the electric circuit, or the protection circuit is activated.
Check the fume hood's instruction manual or ask a person with knowledge of electricity to check the fume hood.
